Personal data we process

Verso Institute processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last name
  • Email address

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in the online activities of their children to prevent data from being collected about minors without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without such permission, please contact us at info@versoinstitute.com and we will delete this information.

Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

Verso Institute processes your personal data for the following purpose:

  • To be able to contact you if this is necessary to provide our services.

Automated decision-making

Verso Institute does not make decisions based on automated processing that could have significant consequences for individuals. This refers to decisions made by computer programs or systems without human involvement.

How long we retain personal data

Verso Institute does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Verso Institute only provides personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies or similar technologies we use

Verso Institute uses only technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone during your first visit to the website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember your preferences, for example. They also help us optimize our website. You can disable cookies by configuring your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. You can also delete all previously stored information via your browser settings.

Accessing, correcting, or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Verso Institute. Additionally, you have the right to data portability, meaning you can request that we send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization designated by you.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer, withdrawal of consent, or objection to processing to info@versoinstitute.com

To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your ID with the request. Please black out your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone — the strip with numbers at the bottom of your passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.

Verso Institute also informs you that you have the right to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). You can do so via:
