SUMMARY:Mastering Impactful Online Communication
DESCRIPTION:Online communication demands new skills for clarity and influence — but most professionals still rely on habits built for face‑to‑face work. \nOnline communication is no longer a substitute for “real” communication. For many professionals\, it is where work happens. \nWe lead teams\, influence stakeholders\, build relationships\, negotiate\, give feedback\, solve problems and make decisions through a screen—often with colleagues and clients working across different countries\, cultures and time zones. \nYet most of us have never really learned how to communicate online. We simply took the communication habits we developed face-to-face and moved them onto Teams or Zoom. \nThe problem is that the environment has changed. \nA screen changes how we make and perceive eye contact. It changes how much of the body others can see\, how easily we read reactions\, how we use gesture and facial expression\, how silence feels\, and how naturally people enter and leave a conversation. Research also shows that online interaction can increase the effort involved in both producing and interpreting nonverbal signals. \nAnd when teams are global\, another layer appears. Differences in culture\, language\, working hours and expectations about responsiveness\, participation and decision-making can all influence how the same communication is experienced. \nThe result? Capable communicators can become less engaging\, less expressive or less influential online—without understanding why. \nThe good news is that effective online communication is a learnable skill. \nThis three-session programme helps participants understand what changes when communication moves online and gives them practical techniques for adapting how they communicate—without becoming artificial or “performing for the camera.” \nBefore the programme begins\, participants complete a short assessment exploring the environment in which they actually communicate. \nDo you work primarily online or in a hybrid environment? Are your teams global? Do you regularly communicate across cultures or time zones? What agreements already exist around cameras\, responsiveness\, participation\, meeting behaviour and communication channels? What works—and where does communication become difficult? \nRather than imposing one set of “best practices\,” we use this context to identify what effective online communication needs to look like for your work\, your relationships and your organisation. \nPractical information: \n\n\n\nThe event consists of 3 separate online sessions: \nSession 1: 17 November 19:00 – 20:30 CET \nSession 2: 19 November 19:00-20:30 CET \nSession 3: 23 November 19:00-20:30 CET \nYour ticket covers admissions to all 3 evenings. \nPrice: \nEarly bird ticket: €385 plus VAT (available until October 25th) \nRegular Ticket: €490 plus VAT \nAbout the speaker: \nDorothy Grandia is Media Director for the Chair of Information Systems for Sustainable Society at the University of Cologne and Associate Director at the Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations (ECWO) at Rotterdam School of Management. \nWorking primarily in STEM‑driven environments\, she specialises in developing persuasive communication styles and applying communication strategy to strengthen collaboration between technical specialists\, cross‑functional peers and senior leadership. \nA key part of her work is in executive education: since 2016\, she has been a coach and co‑teacher on The Art of Communication in the INSEAD MBA programmes\, where she helps future global leaders build clarity\, presence and influence in high‑stakes communication. \nHer interest in communication as a tool of influence grew out of early career experience in journalism and politics in the United States. She holds an MA in Vocal Performance from the New School University/Mannes College of Music and a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. \n\n  \nRegister here:\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/mastering-impactful-online-communication-tickets-2003125103106

DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\n\nBoost your confidence and learn the tricks to negotiate like a pro in this chill\, hands-on workshop. \n\n\n\n\nNegotiations: Become a More Confident Negotiator\nMost commercial professionals negotiate constantly — with clients\, prospects\, distributors\, partners\, and internal stakeholders who influence deals. Yet many early‑career and mid‑career professionals have never received structured negotiation training\, even though their performance\, margins\, and client relationships depend on it. \nThis negotiation program of 5 hours gives participants a clear\, actionable framework they can apply immediately to: \n• Prepare strategically for any negotiation \n• Communicate persuasively and build trust \n• Reach agreements that create value for all parties \n• Influence decisions and move conversations toward “yes” \nNegotiation isn’t an innate talent — it’s a learnable skill. Once mastered\, it transforms careers\, opportunities\, and everyday interactions. \nWhat will you learn? \nThis program provides a solid foundation in the core principles of effective business negotiation. Through a blend of insight\, demonstration\, and hands‑on practice\, participants will learn to: \n• Understand the structure and stages of a negotiation \n• Identify interests\, priorities\, and sources of leverage \n• Recognize common negotiation pitfalls — and avoid them \n• Use simple frameworks to stay organized and focused \n• Adapt their approach to different personalities and situations \nThese skills apply to everyday workplace conversations\, not just formal deals. \nIs this program right for you? \nIt is ideal for anyone who wants to feel more confident\, clear\, and effective in business negotiations — especially those who don’t see themselves as “natural” negotiators\, but want practical\, repeatable techniques to navigate client discussions and internal conversations with greater ease and impact. \nThis workshop is designed for professionals who negotiate in their daily work for example with managers\, leadership teams\, cross‑functional stakeholders\, or who are in client‑facing roles such as business development\, account management\, and entrepreneurship. \nIf your work involves securing buy‑in\, handling objections\, protecting value\, influencing decisions\, or navigating demanding client conversations\, this full‑day training gives you the practical tools to do it with more confidence and impact. \nCosts: \nEarly bird price (available until 10 of November) = € 385 plus VAT \nRegular price = € 485 plus VAT \nWho we are: \nVerso Institute (www.versoinstitute.com) \nPractical information: \nThe event consists of 2 online sessions. \nSession 1: 3 December 18:00 – 20:30 CET \nSession 2: 10 December 18:00 – 20:30 CET \nYour ticket covers admissions to both evenings. \nYou will receive a link few days before the event starts. \nAbout the speaker: \nWilliam (Bill) Collins is an experienced consultant and MBA lecturer who teaches at leading business schools around the world\, including Rotterdam School of Management (The Netherlands)\, Warsaw School of Economics (Poland)\, Antwerp Management School (Belgium)\, the University of Cologne (Germany)\, and the University of North Carolina (United States). \nHe works exclusively with experienced professionals and senior leaders seeking to deepen their capabilities through executive education\, adult learning programs\, and Executive MBA formats.
